Matthews saw how well it worked for Millsap. He is using Portland to get the biggest possible offer and then hopes Utah will match. Portland is glad to help try to screw the Jazz. Jazz will match if Portland offers but I wouldn't mind if they called Portland's bluff and let him go. If the Jazz do match they'll do the same they did with Millsap -- wait until the last minute so that it ties up Portland's cap money for a while.

My feelings on Matthews are mixed. I was a huge, huge fan of the kids for most of the season. I thought he played well. He made timely baskets, played some good defense and played the game rather intelligently. I was also happy to hear that kobe approached him after the last playoff game to give him some words of encouragement. That said, what irked me about him was the goose egg he ****ing laid in, what I believe was, game 2. I rate players on how they do in the playoffs...and that **** scared me.
