Woj says the Jazz are listening to offers for Mitchell

I think that the type of player in the salary match matters a lot.

Beverley is a really tradeable asset. So, by having him as part of the filler in the gobert trade we essentially get another asset when we move on from him (be it a first or a young player, or a 2nf rounder and cash). It just stacks on top of the haul.

For that reason, Randle and Fournier could be valuable filler pieces because other teams want players like them to compete and with enough intel, perhaps we can sell them on.

Also, a revitalized Simmons could be worth 4 picks 12 months from now. Just saying.

The reason teams want Beverley is because his contract is decent given his production. I don't think Randle and Fournier are regarded similarly.

If Dm goes to NYC jazz will be represented by Jordan Clarkson in ASG?

Let the fun times begin!
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Clarkson probably gets traded. The only way a Jazz player makes the All-Star game is if one of the new guys brought in puts up big numbers on a bad team.

If we’re truly tanking and Jordan is still here, I demand at least one game where he plays all 48 minutes and takes literally all of the shots. I just want to see what that box score would look like. It would probably be against Houston or some other tanking team, because they’d have to also agree to not double him the entire game.

It should be a non-negotiable that you abuse your partner or your kids and you don't get to play professional sports. Make sure all the kids with hoop dreams know that's how it works.

While I agree with this i do wonder what happens to the kids if he loses his job. Do their lives improve now that he is home more often and angry and broke?

He’s really good. TS% stinks but I attribute that to a terrible supporting cast, pg play specifically. But 20.0/5.8/3.0 with a respectable 3 point percentage for a kid who just turned 22 is a lot to work with. He’s got a great NBA body too. If nothing else, he could easily be flipped for a 1st or two.

And at worst, don’t include him and the Knicks run out:
Brunson
Mitchell
Barrett
Randle
Robinson

…which if motivated, could win 50+ games. Barrett leaves a big void though.

How athletic is barrett? And how tall?

he's a plus athlete and a solid 6'7". he definitely looks the part. just wildly inefficient and always has been even before the knicks. he'd be a good get if for no other reason, that people around the league think highly of him, but my concern would be giving up multiple draft picks in order to get him. iow, if i can get toppin, grimes and 6 picks, i'd rather have that than barrett and 2 or 3 picks. so mostly it comes down to what can you get from nyk if barrett is the centerpiece vs what can you get if you leave him out of the deal.

No. As the season begins, Kessler starts because utah has no one else and it becomes painfully obvious to the wolves he’s going to be an all time great as Kessler is the overwhelming vote leader in the allstar voting as he’s averaging 25pts 13reb 5ast and 6blks with 44% 3pt game.

The roster for utah being

Kessler ?
Vanderbilt
RJ
Grimes
Butler

Has the Utah jazz as the best record of 76-6 with a 16-0 playoff record.

It’s unlike anything the sports world has ever seen as the 22-23 season kicks off the soon to be greatest dynasty in nba history.

Meanwhile back in NY… NY does NY things and needless to say James Dolan kicks Don’s mom out of Madison square arena, pissing off Don, Don requests a trade, NY has the worst record and the jazz get the #1 pick

So basically like Kobe Bryant in his last year with the Lakers

Omg this would be heavenly. I think he would score 90 points.
Something like 40-70 from 2 and 3-15 from 3. 1-1 from the line.

I think if we get RJ we still get 4, and I’ve seen reports that RJ and 5 picks are on the table. But regardless we getting no less then four picks from the Knicks IMO.
