Jeremy Evans now equals Stromile Swift

The Fresh Prince

You know this already, probably. It deserves it's own thread because once he gets more years under his belt he can catapult to the likes of a Shawn Kemp. But him and Swift share the same explosiveness near the rim. A younger Swift, anyway.

I am a Stro Show supporter, at one time I wanted the Jazz to give him a chance. Looks like we have our own showman here in J. Evs.

By the way, if Evans can build better hands and skills on getting a post move or two, he could bdash lethal weapon. He has the intangibles. The youth. We need to ship out Al sometime soon so it can open the window for more playing time for him.

I agreed until trading Big Al just to get him some time. I feel bad for him though because he deserves to play but won't even be on the active roster

I'm actually glad now that the Jazz brought in Howard. He's the perfect person to show Evans how to play the 3 spot. Yeah, he's probably more of a 4, but just like Millsap he will need to play some 3 to get time on the floor.

I love Evans for 10 mpg. I think anything more than that would be overkill. He is nice to come in, give a ton of energy, but if you have him out there to long teams will learn how to overpower him.

Like the superman version of Amundson. I love having him even if he can't play alot.

He's got such a great attitude. I agree, just play him 5-10 mins when the rest of the team is playing without any energy - especially at home. He'll bring life back to the team and get the crowd going.

I think it's premature to say he's a guy that should be capped at 10mpg. Maybe that's how it will work out. He does a couple of things really well, and his defense has shown signs of improvement.

80% of the minutes given to Okur should be going to Kanter and Evans. nuff said.

Nice call Fresh Prince, but we all know Evans will never reach Stromile Status without a signature post dunk secret sauce.

If you start playing him extended minutes he will be exposed. You could even see it in the preseason game. He is like a ragdoll out there how easily he gets pushed around the court.

all this means is that you can't play him "extended minutes" right away. How you jump from that to a guy that can only play 10mpg is what I'm trying to stand in the way of. There are guys in the NBA with similar physical profiles, and they've learned how to play "extended minutes".

Matchups and his improvement dictate how much he plays. Some ad hoc cap on his playing time makes no sense.
