2023 NBA Draft Megathread

Here is a little consensus look at the draft from 6 different mock sites. I will do more in the future just tired tonight. If they are on the list they got at least 1 first-round pick in the mock. I did not go into the second round. If they are listed i just gave them a point based on where they were by average. This kind of shows who is on the bubble and that some of these mocks are stupid and just put stupid things on them to get clicks. My opinion is NOT figured into the draft yet.

And I’ll give this call out/salute. I didn’t follow his rankings, maybe just to be different, but Ferguson Mellowchill has been the most consistently impressive drat evaluator on this board. We criticize a lot on JazzFanz, but credit should be given when it is due.
one name I cannot get outta my nog lately is Colby Jones on surging Xavier team. Just looks like a pro already. If we can snag him with that late first he is a high iq player by the looks of it. Maybe he isn't worth it until the 2nd but has good size , versatility to play 1-3 as a playmaker and shotmaker. But lacks elite athleticim and first step so not sure he is more than a back up if he anything but a point guard at the pro level. I bet he could be a sleeper worth watching given he is also older.

I’ll look into this player. Thanks for the heads up.

somebody, i believe it was on JF mentioned him a few weeks ago - compared him to brogdon. regardless of how accurate that comp is, he does look good.

There's no 'w' in Mellochill. I'm not a thorough draft evaluator and really couldn't do it. I just pick a few guys whom the Jazz might be able to draft who should be able to make it as NBA players. Everyone else here sees what I see, more or less.

No one knows what's going to happen in the draft or even what the Jazz FO's blueprint is for what they're trying to build. There's a lot of talent in the draft, but whether players are successful depends on how they're used. Look at Lauri this year, now on his third team.

No W and two L's

This may be the only GG Jackson highlight reel you'll see that shows GG passing the ball and playing defense.

Good video. I like the way he moves and good to see some passes/defense/awareness clips.

Biggest downside to the video is each time I look down at who they are playing it’s a team that very likely doesn’t have a lot (if any) high level talent.

Warming to GG but a lot will be told over the next 16 games in conf. And they don’t really play the top end conf teams until the end of the season.

Hopefully he can show out. All the better for us.

*update: wow, just saw he went scoreless 0-8/0-4, 1 rb and 4 TO’s against Tenn. woof…..*
