Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

I kind of feel like there are.a lot of players on the Clippers that are undervalued and underutilized because of how they are used as ballast for their two stars. We could swap for Kennard andput him in the Beasley spot, after we trade Beasley for value, and flip him at the next trade deadline. Maybe find another player selected before Donovan and rehabilitate THAT dude.

That’s what I’ve wanted to do with Beasley… it’s not that he’s super easily replaced… but he can be replaced… and his value is pretty high. Ideally he’s playing 20-25 minutes a night… is 20 minutes of Kennard/Robinson/Fournier/Allen way worse than Beasley? If you send Beasley out and get value… and can get value for taking a “bad contract” that replaces 80% of what Beasley brings??? Like that seems good right?

Kennard at 14 million isn't really a bad contract. It is actually really, really flippable at that number. His last year is a club option too. I don't put that in the same bucket as Robinson who really is a bad contract that is likely untradeable without dumping assets.

On a scale of 1-10 how much better is Kennard than Beasley?

Right… Allen’s deal isn’t bad either. Luke the issue is will he hold up? I wouldn’t be acquiring him to flip him… Mayne not even Robinson… you just make them more functional and if a deal comes along then go for it.

I have loved the big trades we’ve done and hated most of the small ones… guessing I will not like what we do.

Nothing can really match the disappointment of the Bogey for KO swap to me so I’m prepared for anything. I have a sneaking suspicion that we will be pleasantly surprised. I will also throw out a prediction that if we make a trade either myself or yourself brought it up or a variation of it for discussion at one point beforehand.
