They can look at trading the pick, for sure. I doubt they'll trade out. I think they'd be more likely to try to trade up.

I was okay with Cason Wallace with the Minnesota pick. I'm less enthused for Wallace with the Jazz's own pick.
He might be BPA at 9 and I doubt he makes it to our Minnesota pick.

no at least wait until after the combine to start thinking he has Klaw upside. Two things people need to understand about Black. 1 he is not just a meh shooter, he has meh handles. 2 the fact he is a decent rebounding wing with some court vision does not mean he can improve his first step or shooting enough to be a lead guard at the next level no matter how good his work ethic is.
Black is a overrated major project in the same vein as Ben Simmons, but without Simmons athleticism and length.
You can maybe take Amen and Auser on a development gamble, with similar shooting woes and say it won't matter especially with them because of the freakish athletic ability and at least somewhat decent ball handling.
If we draft Anthony Black it better be at 28
If moving back means getting Wallace instead of Hendricks I'm thrilled
I keep watching Cason, and I just don't think he's all that special at the next level. First of all, he's likely going to measure out around 6'2" w/o shoes and with a 6'6" wingspan. He's not an overwhelming athlete. He doesn't show much change of speed or direction. His shooting projects to be pretty average, maybe slightly above. His reads and timing are pretty basic at this stage. He defends the ball. He's cagey and he plays hard. I'm not sure he should play on the ball full time.
With Cason, you're betting that his defensive disruptiveness is going to translate to NBA speed and spacing, and maybe you're believing that UK made him sacrifice some of his game. He'll be a solid enough player. He'll be rotational. He doesn't scream top-10 pick for me.
If we look just at the offensive side, Kobe Bufkin should be equally as good a prospect, or a bit better, imo.
I'm waiting to see how Hendricks measures out and how he looks in workouts before concluding that he's mostly a high-end role player (3D wing).
I give up. Hardy says each player has a super power. I think Sensabaugh shooting/scoring is better than Dick's and I think the Development coaches can help him be an average defender. Plus the NBA ready body and rebounding is a big plus to work with Lauri. I would rather have that than Black or Dick or a smallish guard.
I think Sensabaugh could contribute right away unlike all these other prospects except Wallace.

I'm starting to really tune in to Kobe Bufkin, and I think he's probably being underrated vis a vis Keyonte George and Cason Wallace. Kobe is more efficient, has fewer turnovers and doesn't get sped up like Keyonte does. His hands are fast and accurate on defense, and I love how he contests shots. He has good athleticism, and he uses it really well. Reportedly, his wingspan is around 6'9". His 85% FT% is a strong shooting signal. He might be a solid pick in the 14-16 range.
