Sure, everyone wants that, but that doesnt mean they will only take tall/long players.

Sure, I'm not saying every player on the team is going to have great size and length. I just think it's doubtful that they're going to give up a bunch of assets for an undersized point guard that makes over $40 million a year.

Trae is an elite playmaker. He would be awesome with Lauri/Kessler.

I'm giving this a thumbs up since playstyle/skillset wise there is absolutely no better fit with Lauri and Kessler. Trae spaces well with the ball and is the best lob passer in the league while benefiting from Lauri's spacing with his drives and even Kessler being stuck on the paint doesnt matter since he is elite at drawing fouls from paint defenders.

But Trae doesnt just have some red flags around him, he basically lives in the penthouse above the national red flag storage because of logistical reasons.

I saw the Trae Young discussion went on for a while. I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this, but Young was voted 12th best guard in the East by the players. That was the least by anyone receiving any player votes.

I'm not sure all Hawks players even voted for him to finish 12th... and that was with him standing at 27/10 averages.

Sure, but they stockpiled assets to get a star and you can't pick and choose who is available. I don't think they do it either, but I wouldn't be shocked

The more I think about it, the more I think trading for a "superstar" won't be in the cards in the near future. Those trades so rarely work as intended.
