Maybe. I do think GG could legitimately be a top 5 guy in the draft.Hopefully the lottery will give us a better pick and that most talented player will be even better.
The talent level really does pop. He's not going to blow anyone away with measurements or testing numbers, but he's a great overall athlete. He moves very similar to Tatum IMO while having a bit more size. Even though he's incredibly raw, he has some of the best footwork in the draft. His shot looks beautiful to me and he showed the ability to hit some deep 3's. He has incredible balance on his tough shots. I know guys like KqWin will harp on how he didnt make a lot of those shots, but they all looked like they should be going in.
Yeah, a lot of his "process" stuff sucks, but I think most of that is coachable. He tried to be "the man" on the worst team in the toughest (at least defensively) conference so him struggling was expected. If he didnt that would mean he was a potentially generational talent. I dont think he is that, but I do think the is potentially a very dangerous scorer who can challenge for ASG's in his prime. Hopefully everything that happened this season was a wake up call for him that he isn't that kind of talent where he can get away with whatever and he is ready to be coached and play hard to get on the court.
