2023 NBA Draft Megathread

Personal top 10 Jazz big board:

Wemby
Scoot
Miller
Amen
Cam
Ausar
Hendricks
Black
Walker
Cason

That Mavs pick is definitely appealing, landing any two of these guys would be nice. Not uninterested in a move up either, for one of those top 6/7 guys.

At #16 if any of Dick, Hawkins, GG, Bufkin, Keyonte are available, that'd be a great pick.

Amen is going to take a while and Dame's timeline is now. I think Miller is the best blend of a guy with potential and can play on the court right now. So I'm guessing they hope he is there. Scoot is more NBA ready than Amen imo... but Dame would likely prefer a win now guy to all of them.

I think this is really close to mine. If Dallas is on the clock and Walker or Hendricks are available that is an easy pick for them. So the play would be to clean up whatever wing is left Walker/Ausar/Hendricks and then make the trade with Dallas. The issue is that if neither Black or Wallace go top 8 then those two are the ones left. So you take whatever one you like and then go wing at 16... Leonard Miller is the guy I'd pray is there... but there are others that are good bets. If that scenario happens I'm not paying a ton to move up to 10.

With regard to Dallas... they'd prefer a win now player but they also may be interested in moving down to 16 for cap flexibility (we can offer that) or future firsts (we have a few of those). There may not be a great deal lined up for 10 so you send 16 and one of the firsts we own and they can add a player, see what FA brings, and then move the future first for a win now deal.

That would be great but Mavs are likely another team likely looking for "win now" players to put next to Luka.

I'm trying to think what they can get with #10 tbh. Do the Knicks unload Julius Randle? Would Atlanta move John Collins for #10 and take GG to replace him? The Mavs need defense more than anything.

For w/e reason they dont have the Mavs 2023 pick in the trade window, but it would be there.

I think this is a fair deal? Kris Dunn showed in limited games that he could be a spot-up threat if left open. Sexton gives the Mavs scoring. They get off Bertans contract and they still get a rookie at the end of the first round.

I think Wallace, Dick, Jackson and George are all good picks where the Jazz are drafting. There are scenarios where Jarace Walker might slip to us too. I think those guys are all taken by the end of the lottery.

Blazers gonna shop #3. Don’t think we put Lauri on the table… though it’s an interesting path to consider.

Otherwise, does anything get it done? Kessler and Ochai + #9? Would you trade that for Scoot? Miller?
