2023 NBA Draft Megathread

Groupthink is an interesting phenomenon. Over on the realgm draft board, Cam isn’t all that highly thought of. Several posters have him anywhere from 9-13 or so.

Not saying one is better or more correct than the other, but he might be a tad overrated on JF, and perhaps a tad underrated over there. Either way, he’d be nice swing for the fences pick at 9 IMO.

I was curious to remember how much Giannis weighed when he got drafted. Crazy to think he actually was lighter than Bilal when he got drafted. Bilal is about 5 months older.

Giannis was 6'8" and 207 lbs. He was about 10 lbs heavier than Bilal.

The Realgm board is typically pretty garbage, though.

Monty is floating the idea that the Jazz are going to move up for Scoot or Amen. I don't think we have enough to offer to move up that far. Can DA pull some magic out of his hat?

Tbh - that would pretty much account for any of the top 10 players outside of probably Wemby and maybe Scoot. Everybody else is young and has huge upside. . . but it’s all about development.
Right, with all the draft excitement we tend to forget that it usually takes a few years before these drafted kids make a difference (if they do at all). Just think how many players under 24 or 25 typically play in the starting lineup of a championship team.
