I think Hayward is an important player even in games he suck. He at least makes some assists, he is not a player like Granger, he will either score and win the game or he will hurt the team, some games he cant just put the ball in, but still he is doing something for the team. He is not gonna be the best player of his draft year, but he knows basketball very well and he is a real team player, we need to back up such guys instead of criticizing just because he couldnt make a few jump shots. I see a little bit of Hedo in him. Still he would be much better at 2 than 3.

We played Raja 33 minutes tonight. I guess it was for the defense which held Kobe in check to (some portion of) 40 points, 8 boards, and 4 assists. On the flip side of that, we got 7 points, 1 rebound, and 3 assists.

Just imagine if you knew ahead of time that your starting 2 would get 7 points, 1 rebound, and 3 assists in 33 minutes. Exactly HOW great would his defense have to be before you cut those minutes to 32?

Come on now, raja totally intimidated Kobe with that early jawing and the T. Great veteran move there, very effective.

It looks like the move to develop the youngins in on the back burner: Favors getting about 15, Kanter 9, Burks 0 to 5. And yet the whole first team was negative on the plus minus, none of the second team was negative.

Great post. He'll figure out the consistency shooing the ball at some point. But in the mean time he certainly helps us in other ways on the court. He needs to be starting at the 2 guard with Howard at the 3.
