This is one of the worst posts I've ever read on this board.

What makes you think Deron was an abusive jerk? Then you go on to say, 'nothing quite like people who forgive anything easily,' as if you're casting judgement on a group of NBA fans who still have respect for their favorite team's one-time franchise player. It's one thing if this were a forum about a real community and this was a thread about welcoming back a former harmful criminal with open arms, and to say 'you people forgive too easily', but obviously that's not the case.

The scariest part of all this is that I remember you saying you were a teacher in a prior thread. For society's sake, lets hope your students don't learn a THING from you.

Who said anything about Deron being an abusive jerk? I simply stated that people here are too forgiving. Remember, this is a player who hounded out our coach of 20 years. Deron Williams isn't a Jazz institution, Jerry Sloan is.

His behaviour the last half a season in SLC was nothing short of reprehensible. I wouldn't act that way at a McDonald's fryer job, let alone in a position where you're a hero to thousands of people.

Yeah, I'd boo him. I don't care what he's done in the past. Again, like an abusive relationship. You don't stay with someone because of how good things used to be, you leave because they're ****ty now.

Oh, and luckily, laymen have nothing to do with training and certification of teachers. As it should be.

Sloan was old and tired. Deron was the same as all the rest that butted heads with Sloan - and there were plenty. The difference this time was that Sloan finally bowed out.

Don't over-dramatize it all - "hounded out our coach of 20 years." I was ready for Sloan to retire at least 5 years before he did.

In my opinion no. How many coaches have up and quit because of one player, midseason? Not many. Especially the likes of some one with a track record like Sloan. He took the easy way out and quit. He should have at least finished out the season. He demanded his players play 100% when they were on the floor and if they didn't, they got an ear full. So why does that allow him not to do the same?

"They have the best fans in the NBA, I believe, game in and game out," Williams said. "They support the Jazz no matter what the record is, how we're playing, who we were going up against. They just always had our back."
