It’s kinda weird to me how some people are obsessed with Castle here. He doesn’t handle the ball particularly well and he’s a complete zero shooting wise. Sure, he scores some because he’s bigger and more athletic than his opponent. But he’s not going to have many matchup advantages in the nba. Black, Simmons, Thompson twins, etc all are better ball handlers and arguably better athletes yet I’m not sure if any of them can be played extensively in today’s NBA.

I wouldn’t touch castle. Find a better prospect, preferably one that isn’t a dud offensively. He’s not even looking to shoot and doesn’t have the handles and vision of a Simmons or Black. That’s a major red flag.
 
Ausar Thompson is a better prospect than Castle and he’s shooting 18.6 percent for the year in 3s. His brother is even worse, 14 percent.

If you think the Jazz are winning anything with a starting guard shooting that poorly then I don’t know what to tell ya.

And I don’t know if anyone who’d take the Thompsons over Castle.

And even then, what has Simmons won? The dude has played with some of the best scorers and shooters in the entire game and has zero rings. Isn’t the whole point of tanking right now to build a contender? To me, drafting a liability like this is basically waving the white flag to contention.

Yeah he’s not a complete non shooter who is a spoiled baby. He’s already displayed that he’s more of a winner than that guy.
