This is from hoopsworld.com:

Anthony Morrow: The New Jersey Nets are going nowhere fast, and while there are still lots of games to be played there is a sense that New Jersey is ready to start planning for the offseason.

The Nets have $34 million in salary commitments for next season which includes the final $4 million year on Anthony Morrow and the final $4.25 million Player Option owed to Jordan Farmar.

Both players at one point have been offered to Memphis in exchange for OJ Mayo’s ending contract, and league sources say there is a desire on New Jersey’s part to cash those guys in for ending deals before the trade deadline.

Of the two, Morrow has the most trade value because of his 41% three point percentage.

It seems clear the Nets will try and clean up their roster before the trade deadline, meaning Morrow and Farmar should be on notice.

So Locke briefly talked about this yesterday saying if the oppertunity came up the Jazz should do it. This would give the Nets that expiring contract and give the Jazz some outside shooting. But do you all think its a good idea?

Last night Morrow scored 28 points shooting 5-8 from 3 point range. He is shooting a blistering 43% from deep this year. In my opinion if the Nets agree I do this trade.

But also could the Jazz just use the TPE and get him? If the TPE is used to get him then the Jazz would have to just dump Raja Bell or Tinsley or something.

Poll and discuss...

CJ and Deron are friends which might motivate NJ, so they have higher chance of keeping Dwill. I think Dwill will dictate where DHo goes in free agency more than the other way around.

No ****ing way. Morrow is one of the biggest black holes in the league. Guy does nothing but stand around waiting to jack up 3's.

He has a little bit of a knack for hitting jumpers - better than CJ at least; but at the same time he'll shoot you out of a game faster than Miles can.

He is like Korver a shooting specialist that is what they do you don't kick the ball out so they can drive and kick it out again ala Hayward.

Morrow is a better player than CJ. I would do this deal but I really don't see why NJ does it. Morrow just ends up scoring 28 pts and you trade him. Yea I am sure that would make DW happy. I know they are friends but DW still wants to win so I doubt he wants to play with his friends rather than win. If friendship was his only criteria for signing guys then DW would have tried to get Korver and Dee Brown to come to NJ.

Players are going to do what is best for them. I think Howard will have a lot to say where he goes regardless of DW.

- we need an outside thread
- Miles has played well enough to seduce the nets into making the deal
- Miles and Dwill are buddies
- KOC and Nets officials are buddies
- i don't want Miles another season

Just do it.

I don't know. I've grown fond of doe lately. After 7 years chucker is becoming sorta- enduring to my heart.

I think I'd miss him.

Also, can we find another trading partner besides NJ? Please. Maybe I just don't want to trade chucker back to williams. Like I don't want him dating my ex-best friend.
