Utah Jazz 'emerging as a suitor' for power forward Udonis Haslem

Haslem isn't taking 5-6 million dollar pay cut to come to Utah! I imagine if Utah doesn't offer the full MLE for Haslem he'd go to the Nets or stay in Miami for the 1.5 million for his league minimum.

Another woefully undersized player for his position. Seriously, what the **** is wrong with the front office?

at least he is legit 6'8, not like Sap who is listed at 6'8 but only 6'6 or 6'7 at most.

i think its hard to skilled big man with limited salary, u either get an undersized big man who can score or traditional big man like koufous who can't score

I'd hate to throw that kind of money at a player that will be in his 30's and past his prime. rather just say f it and match the offer for matthews or look in some other direction toward a younger player with potential

They got everything under control. Just because we hear nothing positive about this franchise doesn't mean that nothing is happening.

Just like the draft. I'm sure we exhausted all attempts to move up and draft Cousins. Darn those Kings!

udonis haslem sucks! god why is it that the only players that want to play for Utah are undrafted dudes and 2nd round picks...

We lost Booz and Korver, and Haslem and Wesley are not worthy replacement for that amount of money if you ask me. I seriously doubt that the TPE's and MLE are going to land us any worthy assets either.

It looks more and more like this year is going to stink anyways, why do we tie down our future for band aid solutions then?

Next year looks to be the perfect time for a major overhaul. We get rid of AK's horrible contract, and we can also free ourselves form Price, Miles and Doufos which would put us roughly 20 Million bucks under the cap to be serious player in next years free agent market. We would still have an OK nucleus of DWill, Millsap, Okur and Hayward(if he pans out) to start with, which is not too shabby.

I think we would be best off if we try to collect as many draft picks for next year as possible, then fill this years roster with some promising scrubs and a couple of one year, low budget veteran player contracts.

I would absolutely like us to tank this season for a lottery picks, but we know that this is not something that Sloan would settle for, and he would probably still make the play-offs with those scrubs.

There have been a litany of reasons listed as to why. It's unfortunate, but a fact of life. Salt Lake City is not exactly a mecca of fun or diversity for an African American male. Plus, being in a small market does influence their visibility.
