Collin Sexton traded to Charlotte Hornets for Jusuf Nurkic

I don't think sexton is truly negative, but I'd guess we were only interested in taking back expiring deals to preserve cap for whatever reason.

Additionally, he needed to be moved. We couldn't go into the season sitting him, and young guys have to play.

I'd guess we could have taken on worse money and gotten a very marginal asset. Extremely pleased we're clearing the deck of guys who aren't in the long term plan.

That must be the goal. I knew AA was full of crap when he said we wouldn't tank again lol.
I tried telling you guys that all he meant was that they wouldn’t sit good players to lose games. Losing with a bad roster technically isn’t tanking. But instead yall decided he meant they would try to be good, which anybody with any sense would be able to tell wasn’t feasible.

Haha some wild overreaction to this in this thread. At worst it’s what is being reported. It’s not franchise altering.

Yall watch too much Island couple swap reality TV.

I think trading the pick was unfortunate, but this is more of a trade to create playing time for the young guards. They have to know what they have. Losing a good 2nd round pick sucks, but we have enough 1st round picks that it somewhat neuters the effect.

Buy him out. Solved.

Sending a 2nd to somehow save face for the ‘we’re not [tanking]’ lark is weakness.
