The last thing we need to do is get impatient and make some desperate move with the idea of squeaking into the 8th seed. I'm hoping for a trade, but March 1-15 is the time to look for something to happen.

Once Hayward, CJ, Howard, Millsap, and Evans go down with injury?

That's the issue. Lin was signed, and was at worst, 3rd string.

Carroll is signed, and he's the 10th backup to an already over-stocked position.

At best, Carroll beats out Jeremy Evans... Which still doesn't really say much since Evans is collecting more DNPs than actually PT.

A trade will need to be made if one hopes to see Carroll receive any PT.

Not the same thing. Any given sunday is different then winning four 7 game series'.

The lowest seed I think ever was a 6. But, they had Hakeem and Drexler. Not, to many 6 seeds nowadays have those kind of players.

The Lakers are a six seed now, but their role players are garbage. Houston had really good surrounding players.

How is he evil? If it weren't for him I'm sure we would have Ed davis or Xavier Henry instead of Gordon, we would still have D-wills whining bitch ***, No Favors or Kanter. He matched for Millsap. Picked up Al for picks. I'm not worried about the hands that this team is in.

Ya we lost brewer, korver, boozer, wes. But, we have been an extremely competitive team with KOC. Go look at the majority (not all) of small market teams and they have not had near the same success we have had.

After seeing Josh Howard play last night, I question how healthy he is; looked kinda sluggish compared to other players in the game. The Jazz may be more concerned over his leg injury than any of us realize. With coach Ty's emphasis on DEFENSE, we need fully healthy guys on the court who can MOVE to execute it. I suspect Carroll, who is a fierce defender, was signed as insurance in case Howard falters.
