What's new

Josh Howard out for season!!

Too bad for Josh. I like him as a good veteran presence. Wish him a speedy recovery, but do hope to see more Burks, Hayward & Carroll (to see what he can even do) as a result. Wonder who starts tonight. ?

I hope this is elective surgery. Howard has been a classy player who proved himself this year after choosing the Jazz over the Spurs. He's proven he still belongs in the league and hopefully will recover well and get another contract this summer.

So do I. I was one of the few people excited by the signing and for the most part wasnt disappointed. Now I just hope Hay and Burks can take full advantage of the situation.

I am with you on this one. Never was supporter of his signing... now he is done for good, to bad - to come back from two microfracture surgeries and be effective will be very very tough to do.... Glad it was only 1 year deal.
Where did you hear that he's had any microfracture surgeries?

Terrible news for Howard! I hope this doesn't end his career. Before we signed him I think most thought he was a head case and bad influence in a locker room, having him on the team has been the complete opposite. I wish him the best.

Think Minnesota fans are ticked? They are probably accusing the Jazz of tanking just to keep the draft pick.

Kind of an A-holeish way to put !! marks at the end of it as if you are happy he is having knee surgery. Feel bad for the dude. He was doing pretty good this season and working his way to a nice last contract.

I never want to hear that a player is injured let alone one of our own. (That is like hoping that the veteran warehouse employee has a stack of boxes fall on him so that the up and coming young guy can finally get some time on the forklift)

I hope Josh can recover and possible come back next season with a veteran bench roll like Watson has. If he is coming back as a 20+ minute per game guy no thanks but all teams need solid veteran play to really win.

Terrible news for Howard. All accounts I read said he was a great guy in the locker room. Depending on what happens with the draft picks (or lack thereof), he might be worth considering next season.

But fantastic news for Ty and the team. We only have 20 games left and need to make a decision on CJ. Ty needs to play Miles 35 mins/game now. Cj has never been given a fair shot and this will show if he's capable of being the starting SF on a playoff-caliber team. If he can average 16 pts on at least 40% shooting, I see Utah offering him a 5-yr deal for $25-$30M.

And if you think my post was serious (except for the Howard part), then give me a call. I have a great investment I want to talk to you about.

What's going on with Bell? Is he still "injured" or what?
