Homey's Garbage

Adam Morrison suffered a severe knee injury after being the third player picked in the draft and has lost a step to be sure. I can't imagine a team giving him a four million a year three year deal until he proves he can play. He had decent numbers as a rookie at Charlotte.

Morrison's a RFA. The Wiz just worked him out. If he's decent I imagine they'll get him cheap. He'll be happy to have a job.

It seems like there's an opportunity to find a Wesley Matthews at a lot of positions right now for not a lot of cash expended. That's why they play Sloan and KOC the big bucks.

Potentially talented, probably cheap:

Patrick Mills - he'd be a great backup.
Jon Scheyer - great outside shot ala Redick. Can he run the point though? maybe a combo guard?
Sylan Landesberg - Some expert said this guy was one of the best undrafted.
James Augustine - Good backup, friend of Dwill.
Omar Samhan - Give him a shot - everyone looks at this lumbering guy and counts him out but he does well even so.
Artisom Paretoroski - Big guy - give him a shot.

I like your list. I would also include Torrance. I think Scheyer got hurt but I do not know how serious.

I would love in order Mills, Torrance, Samhan, Augustine, Artisom and Landesberg.

Some DLeague guys that played in Europe can look at the Jazz roster and there is an opportunity to actually make the team. In the past there were a lot of guaranteed contracts. This year they could bring 18 guys to camp and the non-guaranteeds would think they have a shot unlike past years and other teams.

There's the potential to bring in eight players with non-guarantees to camp this year. We could have a couple of points, a couple of wings and a lot of bigs.

When I was watching the Charlotte Jazz game it struck me that Rice, Benson, Davidson and the DLeague big looked like ball players. I know it was a portion of a summer league game but I think we can improve some parts of the team.
