Trade idea

I still respectfully disagree, with or without the disclaimer. MKG is better, way better, than Ronnie Brewer .. enough on that topic though.

Ronnie Brewer's freshman year: 12 pts, 48% fg, 26% 3pt, 3 assists, 5 rebs, 1 blk, 2 steals
MKG's freshman year: 12 pts, 49% fg, 25% 3pt, 2 assists, 7 rebs, 1 blk, 1 stl

You also left out my "ON THE JAZZ" disclaimer. We need three point shooter. 25% from three ain't a three point shooter.

Then again, Burks and Hayward both shot 29% from three....he would fit right in.

Wingspan: 6'11 vs 7
Standing reach: 8'7.5" vs 8'8.5"
Body fat: 5% vs 7.5%

We need more to continue this debate... ;)

That being said, you are probably right. IF scouts think he develop a legit 3 pt shot, then I love him. If not, eh, we've seen this hype before.

When do his measurements come out?

Measurements are not an completely accurate assesement of how a player plays. Physicality, leadership, mental toughness, hustle, heart...all things that have as great of an impact as measurements do.

MKG has one of the highest floors of out all the 2012 prospects. He is a sure player and will contribute right away. His ceiling may not be that high but he will definitely be better than Brewer

I totally get this. I believe it. The big red flag I see is that the kid can't shoot, and everyone talks about his "intangibles" as being his big qualities. Yes, he showed toughness, heart, hustle, etc on a team with four other lottery picks. He played with superstar Tim Duncan aka Davis. He played with Antwain Jamison/Carlos Boozer aka Jones. You get my point.

I am just playing devil's advocate. It seems like MKG's big NBA skill is heart. A lot of those picks don't pan out. That is all I am saying.

I agree on the point of adding MKG (which I'd love) to the Jazz only exaggerates the need for shooters.

One NBA scout said MKG is 'the best wing defender I've ever scouted.' He's explosive. It's not intangibles alone.
