This is how I am feeling too.
Yes!!!! Dattebayo!!!!
This is how I am feeling too.
Are these both true, so two different sources or just one?
Hmm I wonder if there is an chance of Millsap for the 5th pick and a bad contract? I don't have any desire to have Jimmer on our team. I think Jimmer has a place in the league but that won't ever be on the Jazz.
I would only support this if Bell was included somehow![]()

Jimmer - He can't defend, he can't run an offense, he can beat out a 5'2" undrafted rookie....BUT, every once in awhile he can hit a three.
The worst part of it all? He is revered as a god down in Utah County. He would be horrible for this team. They worship him so badly, he was asked to not attend any classes as it caused too many problems.
No thanks.
So the chance of getting potential franchise players in Barnes & MKG doesn't enter your equation what-so-eva?!?!
Should we throw DWill in there as well to make you happy?!?!

Yes, it would.
IF the Jazz think one of those two players is a franchise player, then that changes things. I am more open to doing this for Barnes. Just bringing Jimmer back to Utah would open pandora's box. Do you really want a young team that is playing well, with Jimmer on the bench, getting booed at home? Talk about a quick way to run Favors, Hayward, Burks, Kanter and Barnes out of town.
My point is Millsap is expiring and will be too much for us to re-sign. GSW will be decent next year so that pick won't be worth as much (as well as a much weaker draft class).
So those 2 alone for this year's 5th pick is already GOLD. Jimmer? Whatever we do with him I just couldn't care less.
unless they extend him this summer.
but as i've said elsewhere, they should only do that if they are able to make other big moves this off-season. simply put: if they move al, go ahead and lock paul down. if they don't move al, it might make more sense to use paul's expiring to see what you can do at the deadline OR to let him expire and go into 2013 with cap space.
Why would we pay market price for Millsap if we have Favors & Kanter waiting in the wing?!?!
Unless we're looking to go Kanter + GSW pick for Rondo, then I don't see why we'd pay full price for Millsap to sit on the bench (and he wouldn't be happy to neither).
ok so a guy in my office has a brother that works in the Jazz marketing or public relations department and he got a text
well if you extend him you don't have to worry about "market value"... you can lock him down before the market gets a chance to set his value. that's part 1 of my answer.
part 2 is because i don't believe kanter is ready yet. favors, hell yeah, let go of the reins and watch him go. but kanter is still looking awfully raw to me. and even if he takes a good step forward, you still need a 3-man rotation up front, with a 4th guy to get foul trouble and injury minutes. if our 3-man rotation is favors-millsap-kanter, i think we're in good shape.
Part 1: Well Millsap may be stupid but his agent certainly won't be. There's no way his agent would allow us to extend him at $7-$8mil a year without testing the market. May be if we offer him $10mil plus he might extend straight away.
Part 2: What if Kanter is ready in 1 year then? We've just extended Millsap for 5 more years beyond next year. Unless we extended him for cheap we'll have problems unloading his contract.
I hear you regarding 3 man rotation, then it'll depend on how much we've paid for Millsap to be on the bench and is he happy to be on the bench? Otherwise we might have to have Kanter coming off the bench but again would he be happy with that?!?!
