I have come up with a new game similar to the Jazzfanz Championship. Only this game will have some sort of purpose and should be more fun.
It goes like this..
We will have 10 team captains. We will do a draft and pick the people you want on your team. The draft will be serpentine structured, so when I set it up who picks first, second, etc, It will be fair, because the person picking 10th will get the very next pick and the 1st picker will have to wait all the way to 20
We will have a salary cap. You draft players with salaries already in place. The cap won't be too stringent, but at some point you might have to add some lower tier poster.
My idea is to make whatever your rep power be how many millions you make per year. Years I suppose are not important. Unless someone has some ideas how to make this better, but not too complicated. So I am open to ideas, but I will make the final decision.
So if you have 10 rep power then you make 10 mil per year. If you have 17, then you make 17 mil per year.
So that I don't screw this up, I need to know what you think would be a good salary cap number. Also do we have a soft cap or hard cap.
Or if you have any other good ideas, throw them out there.
We will have full 15 man rosters instead of 10 like the last time, that way we don't leave people off.
The draft will commence once I have all my captains and rules in place.
After we can set up individual matchups between teams, doing a braquet style tourney. Teams will be scored by the voting public. We will have a time limit on the poll. Say 3-7 days or so. People will vote anytime they want during the matchup. They can vote for a team right off the bat, or they can wait it out and listen to the smack and then decide.
We can also do trades in this as well.
Trust me, this will work. As long as the captains follow through. That's why I will pick captains based on whether or not I percieve you will do it.
The draft doesn't have to be completed overnight. We'll get it going and just keep track of who went where, and then finalize the teams.
So, 10 teams
I need 9 captains. I will be one too.
We might do more teams if a lot of captains sign up. Maybe 15 teams with 10 man rosters.
