Still can't believe he fell to 12.

That dudes got potential. Could be the steal of the draft thank goodness sactown drafted Jimmer before us.

I know I might get flamed for this, but when this kid is in the air, the way controls his body, hangs in the air for what seems like for ever, and finishes crazy reverse layups, all remind me of MJ.

Not saying he as a player is like MJ, just that once he jumps the way he acts in-air seems very similar to me.

I have perhaps unfairly compared him to Kawhi Leonard since that is who I wanted the jazz to draft the whole time so Alec Burks is a little bit sour to me :(

Fearless.

BTW, the Ronnie Brewer comparison wasn't horrible. Now just give Brewer a pair, some handles, and an unbroken jumpshot and voila. That has the makings of a very nice player.

He has a chance to be really special. If he can get stronger in his upper body so that he can finish in easier ways around the basket I think he could be really great.

It isn't a horrible comparison but there are better ones. While they almost he same height and length, Brewer has 30 pounds on Burks. That is a huge difference in strength.

Also Burks is a far superior ISO player and a much better finisher in addition to having a better jumper. Brewer is and was a much better defender.

Brewer is one of the most overrated defenders I've ever seen. He was not good. Soft as they come. He was an opportunist with superb tools but not much else.

Brewer is one of the best finishers the Jazz have ever had. That was just about all he could do offensively. He was a much better finisher than Burks (as evidenced by his FG% while in Utah).

Love this one. I feel like the Hayward mix was almost more focused on editing than basketball. Still love the mix, but I love not having to watch 4 different plays at once.

I wasn't a fan of that either, made me feel cross-eyed.

There weren't multiple plays at once, each clip transitioned into the other.

Though, he did have multiple plays going at the same time in his Kanter mix, which I wasn't a fan of.

2011 #12 pick Alec Burks, 2012 #12 pick Jeremy Lamb. Who's better? Burks is about 13 months older. I think they can both be solid NBA players.

I like Burks better. Lamb is the better shooter, but not much else...they're pretty even athletically and it terms of length, but Burks has a MUCH better penetration game (incredible at getting to the FT line, where as Lamb is horrific in that department). Burks also gets the edge in rebounding and passing. Overall, I just think Burks is more versatile and has a higher BBIQ. Lamb will be good though.
