I'm being a bitch? Why, because I vehemently disagree with you? Listen, how in the hell do you think Mars is going to (fiscally) happen and what in the hell do you think going to Mars is going to do? We're suddenly going to ration our resources, recycle, dismiss religion, value education, respect one another as humans, etc., etc., etc.? And who goes? You? LOL. Yeah, for your life savings and the right to be Mars' bitch for the rest of your life. Let me tell you something, if you think the rich care about you and your ability to sustain your life, you're gravely mistaken. They'll allow you to continue living there, at the reasonable cost of five million dollars, and you signing your life away to work 80 hours until your death. Do you really think this project would save everyone? Hell, it's only slightly bigger than half the size of Earth? How long do you think it would take to overpopulate that planet and make rationalize going to a third planet to, ahem, "sustain life." Yeah, some life.

Mars is going to get boiled away too a hundred million years or so after earth. So, not long.
We've got to at least get as far a Jupiter (a couple of the moons are possible) to survive.
Why should I when you won't find where I said we should go to mars permanently? Or where I said we should ignore our problems here?

Way to ignore my sentiment. Money. I mean, you had no problem cutting military vets' bennies in your litany of overspending list but now have zero problem with pouring that same total amount back into one project that may or may not be of some value to those on Earth.

So glad I listed the vets hospitals or all the money set aside to help the vets with things like PTSD. Oh wait I didn't...I wonder why? Hmm...
Does any critique of the military = disregarding vets or the benefits they are rightfully due (in my opinion) from this country?
I also like how you admit to having seen my desire to cut crap to work on the deficit but then act like I have no concern over it because I want to explore space.

My response to this might have been slightly off as I reference going there permanently. That, however, doesn't change the fact that it's ****ing stupid romanticized nonsense. Yeah, when we went to the moon, that really united humanity. Give me a break. The point still stands. Ignorant, selfish people don't give a **** you, me or uniting humanity. I've never read about the viability of Jupiter's moons. Recommended reading or shall I just googit?
