2012-2013 Random Trade Ideas thread

It doesn't work until after the Dec. 15, so I can't put it into ESPN Trade Machine, but:
Al Jefferson to Philadelphia for Spencer Hawes and Jason Richardson (or Nick Young)
If I were Utah I would prefer young because he is on a one-year deal, but Philly would probably do it to get out of Richardson's 3-year contract.
Philly gets Jefferson who could team with Bynum and make for the strongest post tandem in the league.

Interesting trade. I'd prefer J-Rich over Young because of overall basketball ability, but 3 years is too long for that old guy.
Jefferson would definitely be THE guy to put next to Bynum because of offensive ability.
How so you know this trade works after Dec. 15th?

The Cavs have one of the worst front courts in the NBA, but I don't know who I'd want from them. This is the best I could come up with:

https://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ajl73op

and have them throw in a future first. top 5 lotto protected in 2014? I'd go for that.

I've long thought Cleveland would be a good trading partner for Jefferson. That or Charlotte. I'm more interested in draft picks than players, and I think both those teams are under the cap enough to take on Jefferson's contract.

Doubt it happens, though. Realistically, only Cleveland may want to trade if they're on a playoff push.

Sessions might not be too hard to get away from Charlotte. Anybody watch a lot of this guy? If he's better than terrible maybe Bell's expiring + Evans?

We should have one of these. I'll go first:

It gives the Lakers 'depth' and I think Millsap fits better with Dwight than Gasol.
We get to clear our log jam and we get to have Gasol, who I don't think is that bad. I'll be the first to admit he's soft, but I think his poor play the last 2 years is more because of the players around him and the offense than it is him getting worse.
Rockets get to try out if Jefferson fits with their team, and besides Royce White's potential upside, they aren't losing much.

i just see the Lakers getting a better deal for Gasol for a bunch a bench players (besides Paul)...
- Bargnani/DeRosen/Calderon for Gasol/Blake
- Lee/Barnes/Rush
- Love/Roy

How about this one?
Boston gets 3 solid defensive players, a starting power forward in Millsap, a great backup for Pierce in Marvin, and a solid defending veteran in Braille off of the bench.
Utah finally gets their top 5 point guard, and keeps Al, Favors, Hayward, Burks, and Kanter all in tact.
Also Barbosa replaces Marvin's 3 point shooting.

they have Bass, Sullinger, Melo, & Green.... when would Millsap & Williams play?/

Millsap and Raja Bell for Patrick Patterson, Terrance Jones, and a protected #1 pick

Why for Houston?

Millsap fits perfectly with Harden, Asik and Lin. Trading for Millsap now allows the Houston's core to grow together and gives them the bird rights to Millsap this offseason.

Why for Utah?

Patterson is a serviceable big man who could grow into a solid 3rd big behind Favors and Kanter. Terrance Jones is an intriguing combo forward who we could groom for the future. We also open up minutes for Favors and rid our selves of Raja Bell.

i like it but it wont work w/ Bell being included. Also, i am a little intriqued w/ Aldrich & Motiejunas too??
TJones is like a poor-man Marvin.

Does anybody think Jordan would go for this trade? Kidd-Gilchrist is a no-brainer.
Diop would be a decent 4th big, and the Jazz could even sign Fes on the cheap for a 5th.

i think Jordan loves this Kidd... plus, they JUST drafted him #2!!
too bad they don't even have a #1 so we can just swap Diop/Carrol for Big Al...
- Bulls receive the Bobcats' 2013 first-round pick (top 12 protected in 2013, top 10 protected in 2014, top 8 protected in 2015, unprotected in 2016) (Tyrus Thomas trade 02-18-10)

I think Paul fits better in their system & w/ Bynum but I dont think there anything they can offer that makes us better...
- JRich/Young/Wright = $$$ & we have Foye/Burks fighting for time
- Hawes is probably their insurance against Bynum
- Paul for Thaddeus if they feel that Paul will get more than 10M, Thad could be our 3rd although "small" big
