"The three point shot will be part of my game for the next year".

I did not hear it from Kanter but Locke tweeted it Kanter is ready to shoot the 3 and make it an offensive weapon for the next year. So is he really willing to be PF a la Kevin Love as he was mentioning he's PF before the draft? Does that contribute for Favors too to open the paint and offensive reboundings? Kanter will be pick and pop guy like Okur? To me if he chooses the right moment to shoot it and select well yeap it can be necessary addition to the team. He's already posting up well and shooting from the midrange in efficiency. So what you think about it?

Here is an old video he's shooting the 3s with Rubio and stoneridge prep game

I'm OK with it, as long as he can shoot it well consistently and has Favors there to protect the paint.

Kinda like Chandler & Dirk.

Eh, I just don't see him being that good of a shooter like a Memo where it can be used as a weapon often. I like the idea of him taking an open 3 if it's there. If he wants to mimic Kevin Love please make it like it was for him 2 years ago when he averaged taking 2.9 per game (still too many) instead of like the past couple season where he's taking 5.1 per game lololololol

I love when people are scared of having more weapons and more versatility. People haven't been uneasy about him shooting 20-footers, why be concerned about a more efficient shot that puts him in better defensive transition position and should make no impact on his offensive rebounding by comparison?

The standard caveats apply of course. But I've thought he's had this kind of potential for a long time.

If he does this he would be unstoppable, also this could up lanes for Hayward, Burks and our future PG!!

I have 100% faith in his 3 point shot. His midrange jumper has been sweet all season.

Just as long as he doesn't turn into a C who hangs out on the perimeter more than below the basket.

I don't really want him falling in love with a jumper. I'd rather he spend the time working on his post game instead. In 10 years when he starts slowing down he can move more outside. For now, take the ball down low big man!

Completely disagree, teams will figure him out and shut that down. The guy has a very solid jumper, it would be a crime not to develop it and frequently use it as a weapon.

Next year should be fun, barring a disastrous resigning of Al and Millsap. Giving it to the rookies, we'll probably miss the playoffs one more season--but we're going to miss it this year, and we're watching Foye--a shooter, someone who is only a shooter, who is only in the game because he can shoot, I cannot stress this enough--shoot 25% and not be cut out of the rotation. Next year we'll lose a fair share, but this team will play hard--like it did in the Bucks game.
