I'm going to get a new phone next week and wanted to get some opinions on what smart phone to buy. I'm thinking of getting the Samsung Galaxy S4 at the moment. Any recommendations?

I like my S3 pretty well, but despite what Salty says I haven't thrown my PC out yet. Maybe the S4 will be the PC killer.

Smart, fast, billions of apps, billions of components availsble for purchase anywhere, good battery life, fantastic camera, compatible with everything, not as gigantic as Samsung, easy to use....

And this is coming from a guy who had previously refused to buy apple.
 
Do you have unlimited data? Sprint I think does that, right? Very handy if you intend on streaming games or movies. My friend would always have his phone streaming the nfl.

The iPhone is due for an update in 3 months or so. If you're invested in iOS, you should probably wait. If you're more interested in an Android handset, you should go with HTC One. Unlike the S4, it's made of durable aluminum, which makes it look nice and expensive, as opposed to the S4's Fisher Price look. If you don't care about the looks, It's a tougher call between the S4 and HTC One. The former has a ton of features, and some of those are actually cool (like detecting your finger without you touching the screen). The One has an innovative "Ultra Pixel" camera that works really well in low light conditions, and a much better Android Skin than Samsung's.

I vote HTC One. But S4 is an excellent phone as well.

HTC One Fo sho.

Definitely not an iPhone. Play around with an HTC One or an S4 for a couple days and you'll LOL at how basic the iPhone is.

I feel the same way. I also believe Microsoft is going to take the lead from Apple and you'll see their phones progress at a MUCH exaggerated clip.

Apple's share of the smartphone market is at 19%, compared to Android's 60%. So MS would be stealing a distant second place. But even that is incredibly far-fetched, as MS has completely failed to gain any traction in the mobile market with Windows 8, and thus far control something like 3% of the market.
