if you want a smart lefty 6'6" SG with a postup game, catch and shoot ability, is seasoned against a double team and is capable of making all sorts of circus shots with ease, and playing above the rim with lots of fury, yes you should take him #1 overall.

1 - there's no way Shabazz falls to us.
2- I'd trade our 2nd for Dallas's 13 and Marion, then package our THREE first to move up for him
3- heck, I'd even trade Burks and our two firsts for him
4- this draft sucks
5- he may be the only player from this draft peoe still talk about in 5 years.

i had him #1 on my board, followed by Wall, Favors, Monroe, Aminu.

you weren't crazy about favors in that draft??? especially after UK bombed out of the tourney i almost moved him up to #1 or #2, but at the end of the day i was happy with my top 5
Xavier had a Knee issue that he never recovered from, right? that kid could shoot, its a damn shame he lost a step. i had him rated over Hayward, but im biased towards lefties, i had paul george over hayward too, but i didnt think Gordons athleticism would translate in transition as it has

He is a confident, hard worker, aggressive kid. But, he has always played against younger kids until this year. from the highlights that I watched earlier in the year, I just didn't see what physical trait he had that made him a real mismatch in the game. The only thing I really saw was that he was usually stronger than his defender. I didn't see any great explosiveness, speed, quickness etc...

i think shabazz is rather polished, battle-tested and skilled, he has catch + shoot, iso potential, and he has a post up game, plus many other tricks. shabazz is also seasoned vs the double team, which many prospects cannot say.

All this talk has convinced me he's the best player in the draft, and we should trade Burks and both picks for him.
