You guys really want jarret jack???? He plays more hero ball then Mo! I would not want him as a starting point guard. As a back up he is a good option.

he certainly fades outsometimes, on defense, i think lots of Jazzfanz would prefer Teague as hes much more of an NBA sized player, Jennings is still way too skinny to really defend, Teague is 6'2 180 with wingspan, same size as schroder will be...

at the same time they are probably massacring that team in the vid and respectfully not trying to kill them on defense too, maybe. you see he scored 63 and they sat him with the last 5 minutes, im inclined to believe they were taking it easy at that point
 
i think jennings teague and moreso CP3 could provide us with a Mike Conley type player, plus we have more of a surrounding cast than the Grizz, thats why i made this thread. Spend some $ on a PG, and draft a PG!!!
 
Given the choice of either/or I'd rather use Jack as a place holder instead of overpaying for Teague or Jennings. Jazz aren't going anywhere next year anyway so a guy like Jack gives you the flexibility of developing a young PG or making a trade for another PG at a later date without breaking the bank.

Did you just say CP3 could be a Mike Conley type player?

I agree with the sentiment to focus on getting a PG, but some of what you say is just absurd.

i mean put it whatever context you want to call it, i didnt say mike conley is better than CP3

im saying the jazz dont have a guard like mike conley, im saying i want to pay for one, dont mind the cost/downside
theres other players in the league that can play mike conleys role for memphis, some can do it better (see CP3)
if the jazz had that type of player in that type of role, i like their chances to really compete in the west, i think we could really grab ahold of peoples attention next year if the correct PG(s) is procured

Ahh, gotcha. It was just worded funny then.
 
to me trading deron for all sorts of Wing and Big type players than clearing salary cap space, and buying a big name PG for $$ you have to spend, and can afford to spend, is a major powermove, it kind of in a way completes the Deron Trade, brings it full circle

especially if they land CP3... to me it would almost seem like they traded the #3 pick for crazy assets, clearing his salary and attitude, kept the salary low, then payed the guy they should have taken #3, while the returned assets for the pick are still in pricelocked, rookie salaries for years to come... now thats return on investment...
