Following potential 2014 draftees

personally I would rather have Parker James young. Parker can play the 3/4 the other player would need to play the 2/3.

burks can play the 2/1 I hope and so would aaron. not the best for team building

thats a fallacy of predetermined outcome, classic monday morning quarterbacking.

why are you defending the status quo?

theres 1,000's of people sitting in prisons worldwide blamed for things they didnt do. the municipalities involved shouldent be blamed for that either? blame espn?

I liked it better when you were gone.

Nobody needs to read your idiocy.

Come on, he's just polarizing...Other takes of him are actually legit. This comparison doesn't hold up though.
The fans should blame their favorite team to make a false evaluation on talent and/or personality. But fans are in love with their franchises too much, and when players start publicly to display disinterest in succeeding it makes it easy for fans to pass the blame from the franchise to the individual. That individual will be gone before long and you can continue to hate/taunt him for the duration of his next attempts.

I'm really not a huge Gary Harris fan (as a pro prospect).

Yes he plays with good fundamentals, has a great shot, but his size is a major limiting factor. Don't get me wrong, I love Parker, but I would strongly consider the Harrison twins over Parker and Harris.

I agree with this as well.

At this point, the Jazz need one great player, rather than two more very good players.

Wiggins, Randle and Parker all look like great players. From there, I think there's some drop off to Andrew Harrison and Dante Exum.

I agree. However, getting Randle would probably mean the Jazz would then have to decide between Kanter and Favors for the 5...unless Randle didn't mind splitting time between the 3 and 4. I'm just not counting on the Jazz winning one of the top-3 picks. I really don't see them worse than the 5th or 6th team. And any team in the top-2 (or 3) would be absolutely CRAZY to trade down. There is a drop off to the next group. But fortunately with these prospects, we're talking all-NBA vs. all-star, even down to 7th or 8th.

Yeah.. I see us around 6 - 8. I think we could maybe snag Andrew Harrison there are we may want to do that regardless of Burke....

Having the 5th or 6h worst record certainly puts us in contention for a top 3 pick. But like you said, there are likely going to be some great consolation prizes in the second tier of players, if we don't get lucky in the lottery.

Agree, And maybe the Jazz could do something similar to what they did with Burke and Gobert: package their picks to trade up for Andrew, then buy a pick and jump back into the 1st to snag Aaron. There will be some teams looking to forego draft picks to clear cap space for the 2014 FA's. Or maybe even Burks is offered as trade bait. I don't think DL is as sold on Alec as some of us are. And we know Ty isn't. Just bring in the Harrisons, Neto, Burke and Burks and keep the best 3 or 4.

Somewhere between 21-29%, so yes, there's a chance. Much more likely, however, to stay where they're at or even drop 1-2 spots (like what happened in 2005). Sorry to be "Debbie Downer," but I'm just trying to be realistic with expectations.
