He was 7th in the country last year, so it's not exactly a bold prediction.
I'm rooting hard for Kentucky this year. I don't want Randle or Andrew thinking they have unfinished business or anything.
Help me out here. What makes Wiggins the #1? Being able to jump higher? I see zero advantages for Wiggins after that.
Smaller than Parker and Randle. Parker better at posting up, at worst they are equal on shooting, but right now I'd say Parker is better. Parker seems more versatile. Handles the ball about equal, Parker seems like a much better teammate.
Randle is way more of a mismatch, handles the ball very well for a big guy, better defense, about equal on shooting, #hunger.
Now all the scouts can't be wrong, so what am I missing? Why is Wiggins the consensus #1? What does he have that the others don't?
Wiggins vertical definately plays a part (because it IS in fact a huge vertical), but he also has great size and length, good speed, decent jump shot, good handles, amazing spin move in the lane, and the POTENTIAL to be a great defender.
@kkk
Watch for the vids from last nights game. Randle (22/14) drove past his defender got right past the free throw line, then dished to the open perimeter shooter (twice) and hit a 3 of his own.. in 3 consecutive plays.
If by 'people' you mean hotttnikkk.. 'they' are saying "really play the 3."
Most, though, think he's a PF with a full suite of SF skills but better suited for PF.
