Nuggets lose Mcgee for a couple months with a stress fracture. Luckily they are deep at the center and PF position so shouldn't turn them into real tank competition.

Wrote it earlier, will repeat it: I really think they'll tank with new management in town and their Pistons beta 2.0 attempt not panning out.
McGee out means only Mozgov available at center. Gallo still out, rest out of shape minus Lawson.
Tradetalks ongoing with Faried for Shumpert(Smart move IMO if they agree on it)

I can't see it. They wouldn't have went out and spent all that money on decent veterans like Hickson and Robinson - almost up to the luxury tax - if the plan was to tank. They would have went with ancient relics and D league stuff like we did, and got some picks in return.

Tank Troubles?

Jazz win wednesday against pelicans

Eastern(geographically speaking) sea level team comes to Slc the night after playing in LA. If you want to see a win @ ESA anytime soon this is probably your best chance.

The Pelicans have J'rue Holliday and Eric Gordon with Anthony Davis and Ryan Anderson. I don't see how the Jazz can score enough points.

Wednesday is our night, bro. The team is going to be determined and the core will all step up. Plus that's how bball goes, good teams lose to bad ones. Wednesdays game will be like the GSW preseason game.

I think you need to look deeper at this. And obv I may overanalyze/interpret that situation. But by signing them you sell the crowd you want to win -> more ticket revenue.
Then with the current situation there's going to be a lot luxury tax payout. I can't find good numbers, but those I find suggest it's $87M for Brooklyn, $33M for New York, $12M for Chicago, $20M for the Heat and $11M for the Lakers. So adding that up gives us $163M, of which 50% is distributed to the non tax paying teams. $81.5M / 25 gives each team more than $3M, which would compensate for more than Nate's contract.
They lost Iggy and if they didn't add players that'd have left their fanbase sceptic I guess. They probably knew that Gallo was out and so they anticipated that slow start. Even if they get him and Chandler back, their lack of traningscamp and playing time will net them some rust losses. And once they're too far out of the race they'll pull the trigger and celebrate the tank. Whoever they add inside the top10 would make them competitive on all nights. But that's only what I see ;)

Another GREAT day for the tank. Denver is tanking hard and it seems we could have won the game - we looked like we could have won it early, but then faded quickly in the 2nd half.

That's exactly what we needed to do.
