Change the line to:

"I may be slow, but that just means your burger will take longer". Is it still funny? Or, does the humor come from the use of a negative act, making light of it?

You mean, as opposed to fishonjazz's completely non-condescending remark?

Also, what "reverse psychology"? I fully expect fishonjazz won't respond directly, and will at most make a few off-hand comments to other people. As I said, most people don't like airing their brutal, unempathetic sides. Referring to it as a "parting shot" might be fair, though.
