Actually, I point out the flaws of humans, a category in which I put myself. I don't know your flaws as an individual, that may or may not be possessed by others, but all us humans share the flaws that come from being human. You started this thread because of a specific rape joke. It was not all of humanity that was laughing it was specific individuals. The thing is I don't even believe you care whether it is appropriate or not. I don't think you care what it does or doesn't say about our culture. I think you simply enjoy berating people.

I said rape jokes weren't funny. I did not berate the person in question. Feel free to go back and check. Pull out any quotes where I berated anyone.

Frankly, talking about me is getting rather dull. I'm tired of defending myself to you against your perception of my flaws. Why are you so fascinated by me, or if not, why are you so determined to talk about me?

Actually I wonder about this. Are all of our biases readily apparent to us? It is possible that others would see them more readily than we would, as for us they are simply part of who we are. Are you always consciously aware of using, say, your education in your job? I know I reach a point where it just becomes second nature and I don't notice it. I think an argument could be made that we don't always have a total grasp of our biases, whereas others may see them much more clearly than we do by how we act and what we do.

I think it varies from person to person. Some people are more self aware than others. I like think that I am fairly self aware and know my limitations.

However, I completely deny the notion that someone on some random internet forum that knows nothing about my life, experiences, personality or physical traits beyond little snippets like "white male" can judge me in any true way. They have no insight into me and therefore can no nothing of my faults or strengths.

Now a person who does have that knowledge can have insigths that I myself do not.
