I still don't understand why Corbin insist on playing Burke off ball so much. He's a special play maker playing him off ball turns him into a spot up shooter. He's basically shooting with 3 fingers.
 
I love Burks "no fear" mentality. By contrast, Hayward looked like a nervous scared little bitch out there tonight.
 
Weird how this we have almost lost by 20, but it felt like we were really close. Great game, showed a lot of fight, still lost.

Hayward played like ten less minutes than he normally does tonight.

Can you remeber how close it was, when we lost against OKC or the Houston Rockets ? I think we lead by +10 points at halftime against the Rockets, but suddenly they packed the paint and NO ONE was able to hit absolutly free three point shots. It was not about the spacing being bad, it was just about a few player unable to hit open shots.
 
Game was lost when they ran Wade at Burks on 4 consecutive possessions, and stretched a 7 point lead out to 13.


No discredit to Burks of course-- no way am I expecting him to stymy Wade in the post; just kind of a bummer. it's too bad we didn't slide Burks at the 1, and have Hayward guard Wade, and maybe Marv at the three. Who knows.

We couldn't stop Wade though, and that's what lost us this game.
