Game Thread # 35: Milwaukee Bucks are 1 and 1 since Sanders returned to the starting lineup

The Bucks have one player over 15 PER (league average), the Jazz have five. That's quick and dirty, but good enough to illustrate they are nowhere near the Jazz talent level.

I just tell you that if the Bucks grab Parker or Wiggins they will become a contender in 2-3 years!

Knight, Antetokounmpo, Middleton, Henson and Sanders have similar talent as our Core5.

In addition, Mayo, Delfino, Butler, Neal, İlyasova, Pachulia...

The only one I'd take over any of our core5 is Giannis. Harpring said it best at the end of the game. 30/30 GMs would take our core over Milwaukee's.

You are so full of crap. I don't have a problem with anyone's opinion; it's thier opinion and they own it. But I won't tolerate idiots telling me who I should root for or others accusing me of saying things I never said.

You should calm the **** down.

You are cute!

This thread has become comical when people start arguing who is better the Bucks or Jazz. I was not surprised the Jazz won the game since it was on their home court. The Jazz won but a lot of other teams won too. Nets, Knicks, Cavs, Memphis won and Philly was winning so it wasn't a bad night after all. This is a game I had as a win so I am not upset. On nights that the Jazz win I look to see how other teams do, this always helps me stay calm. The only bad thing was GS winning. They have been carving up the Eastern conference.

It is a looong season so everyone needs to relax and just enjoy whatever happens. I still think the Jazz will be in contention for a top 4 pick. I just don't see them losing more than the Bucks but you never know in this league.

And last year you were rooting for losses because it was supposedly the only way to get rid of Jefferson and give the core 4 their chance. Now the c4 are no longer talented, and the only way forward is thru a top 3 pick. Before last year, people were rooting for the Jazz to lose because it was only way to get rid of Boozer and get a fresh start. In fact, in my six years on these forums, I've yet to see the majority root for the Jazz. It is literally the worst place to be for a Jazz fan.

I think this only emphasized even more why the jazz need to take advantage of the tank this year and get themselves a franchise player who can infuse some excitement into the fan base. Shortly after 08, fans knew that the core 3 wasn't going to get a championship anytime soon. They had clearly maxed out in that 07 run.

The Millsap/Jefferson experiment was comical.

Now we were set to tank yet aren't.

If anything, your theory is blown apart by you bringing up about fans complaining. The jazz have tried to patch this franchise up with role players and other bandaid solutions. They have tried to remain competitive, fans have complained. So why not try a tank job?! This franchise hasn't tried that. Why not? Fans weren't complaining for the first 10-15 games because we knew that we were on track for something we haven't had in years, a bonafide franchise player who could lift this team up.

Fans are tired of mediocrity. They will gladly sacrifice a year or two if it means that the franchise is trying to get them a much desired championship. Instead, we are trending for another year of mediocrity and a later lottery pick rather than top 3.

So you are enthusiastic for such kind of win? Bucks didn't put effort to try to win this game!

It looked like they were trying to me. Sometimes (many times in fact) teams lose, even when they try. It's a zero sum game, somebody's gotta lose. That's just far too facile an excuse for a loss--they didn't try. I don't buy for one second that players (whose livelihoods depend on playing well and winning) go out and try to lose or purposively don't put in effort, just so that the franchise can draft the players who will eventually replace them.

On a related topic, can we please once and for all retire the cliche that the team that wants it the most is the team that will win. Honestly, that's just dumb. Desire matters, but so do talent, execution, balls bouncing the right way, fatigue, and many, many other factors.

I agree, that cliche drives me mad as well.

I agree because what we seem to lack is a clear direction. The front office seems to be a bunch of wafflers. I was fine with Milsap Jefferson duo if we were going to make that our direction. Once they let them leave in the offseason for nothing they showed that throughout the season they are wasting assets. How many times have we been on those article of teams that can gain the most by moving key players. We kept Boozer, Milsap, Jefferson, heck we didn't even move Raja Bell. I saw no direction until this year when they cleared way for the youth and a potential top three pick. ONly to see the same $%^& mainly vets who wouldn't even play on other teams dominating our minutes for our roster.
