Also, I still think Poythress has a chance to be a good player. He looked like one of the best players in his class in the McD's game and things just haven't worked out so far at UK. It was refreshing to see him play well tonight.

Young also got 5asts and played good d.
Poythress has the tools, but he'll do nothing... too mentally weak.
 
I think it's crazy that some here are so against smart. I think kkk hates him most, but he is beast and has the "it"PKM speaks of. I'd happily walk away from the draft with him and get amped up for the best young back court in the league.

I can recall a couple of players PKM said had the "it" factor:


Shabazz Muhamad and Austin Rivers.
 
In regards to Young's and others rebounding numbers, I think it's only fair to point out that MSU is one of the worst, if not the worst rebounding teams in the nation.

Kentucky still has a lot of kids that are great talents, and they will prove (or already have proven) that in other games, I just think it's important to know it all, yo.

I'll take some of the blame. Don't really care for Smart's ubiquitous flopping. And for someone who says all the right things and is perceived as a leader, he spends a lot of time acting like a bitch on the basketball court. Of course, I'm a fan of a rival team so...

Young is a rebounder. He had 10 last game against Louisville as well. Nice to have a wing with back-to-back 10rb games, that hits the 3, and plays d.

Having said that, I am not overly impressed with any UK player, tbh. Randle I love.. but he has some things that concern me.
Young I love, but he's not screaming star.
Harrison's are just average.
Johnson is too slow.
Lee to raw.
Poythress too passive.
WCS a bit too raw.

I like ALL those guys, but I'm less impressed than I thought I would be, with every one of them. (and I hate saying that because Randle, in particular, is a freakin brute and plays all out)

Having said all that, it's got the potential to be an unbelievable cbb team by year's end.
 
At the start of the season I did not see it in young, but he looks like he has put it together. He goes really hard. Surprised at his shooting percentages doe. Suppose to be a strength.
