iblame Stormin Corbin.
iblame Stormin Corbin.
I think Hayward, Favors, and Burks have all stabilized into 80% of the players they will eventually be. Kanter remains a complete wildcard. Goes from looking like a borderline bust to possible all star on a game by game basis.
Good post but honestly feel that burks might not even be close to how good he could end up.
Hard to say though, maybe he is at that 80% mark but it just seems like he gets better and better.
Tonight i saw moments of shut down super annoying style defense by burks on bradley beal away from the ball that was getting in beals head.
I have noticed burks getting much better at rotations on defense too and his overall awareness and iq just seems to be getting better and better.
I think getting guaranteed good minutes has done wonders for him.... the last few years his minutes and position/role were so inconsistent that i think we are just getting to see what he can do now
This is the main difference between Favors and Kanter that plays in favor of Enes.
Consistency is not a thing only for the players to achieve in their numbers. It must also be in their roles. Especially when they are young and need more experience with a regular system that they can define their games. Especially for Kanter. I'm not saying that it's not asking much and the Jazz have every right to shift their goals about him. But do the Jazz have a better option than starting him regularly no matter what and giving him a consistent 35 a night as their most raw player? There is a hole in there.
The role he had was perfect tonight. Bring him off the bench, but still give him 30 mins. Same with Burks. And, at the same time, limit the mins of RJ and MW to < 20. If Corbin were to do this EVERY night, I'd be happy with Ty.
i dont get it.
one game kanter looks like a baller next game he looks like he is mentally lost on all sides.
He is still young as hell and started playing basketball at the age of 16? he is only 21.
