What's new

Game Thread: 3/31/14 - New York Knicks @ LOLville Spazz 7 pm (local)

Gobert's blocks per 48 min. is the best in the league though he doesn't get enough minutes for it to count officially.

Jazz management is getting serious about the tank.

The rim that The Jazz customarily play on in the second half was noticeably tighter.

I'm wondering if he regretted to come already this season with the Jazz....maybe spending another year in Europe would have been better for him.

Not at all. Corbin is the best at developing young talent, didn't you know? Gobert is learning how to be an NBA player by watching from the bench. Another couple of years under TY and Gobert will be an all-star.

Laughs at Frank Isola from New York daily news:

I love this nonsense that Utah's core is only 24 and under. So is their win total.

Gordon Hayward should see if he has any eligibility left at Butler.

I'm trying to figure out how Utah ever won 23 games. Just an awful team and honestly not much of a future.

It's amazing how slow and boring this team is.

I don't think anyone thought this team would compete for the playoffs. But I'm not sure anyone expected this team to put up so little fight or to be so darn boring to watch!

He's a jerk but the truth can sometimes be painful.

Frank Isola is a hack. Between himself and Stephen A. Smith, it's a wonder they could even order a pizza successfully over the phone.

At least our best case scenario isn't bringing back the same capped out team that is struggling to make the playoffs in one of the worst conferences in history.

Man it must suck to cover the terrible, terrible Knicks.

**** corbin, and yes it woould have been better if he stayed in euroope

So, let's see. The Knicks call a time out with 2.8 (or so) seconds left on the clock prior to the Jazz shooting a second free throw to plan for a last shot. The shot goes in, NY then throws long pass to a streaking JR Smith who gets of a contested shot in the corner, which he makes.

I wonder, what the hell did Corbin tell the team to expect after the free throw? Wasn't a long pass one of the more likely outcomes? So then why weren't the Jazz defending for this likelihood after the free throw? Smith got completely behind the sole defender to get the pass. While this play didn't determine the outcome, I see it as a clear coaching faux paux on Corbin's part. Another data point that convinces me that Corbin (as much as I think he's a great guy) is simply not a good coach. He needs to go. I don't see any improvement now at the end of the year. We are worse than we were mid-season. I just cannot see how the FO can renew his contract if it is serious about winning, and wants to communicate this to the fan base. It's time for the Corbin era to end, the sooner the better.

Shut down Burks for rest of season pls.

My favorite guy to watch on the Jazz?

The guy we haven't darfted yet.
