Following potential 2014 draftees

I'm not sure Kanter's the weakest link. He's got good size, shooting touch, passing, quickness and motor for a PF. I see him as part of a Big Three, sooner than I see that with Favors.

I can't see a reason to trade any of the front court guys right off the bat. Doing so right off the bat would likely yield a lesser deal since it would look desperate. Wait until an opportunity arrises since financial issues wouldn't be a motivator.

Otherwise, 3 young, talented bigs is any GM's wet dream.

Yeah, Kanter can still come off the bench and wreck the other team's 2nd unit, and there are plenty of minutes to rotate 3 or 4 players.

That said, I would trade either Kanter or Favors for Wiggins, Embiid, Exum or Parker, in part because I believe in Rudy Gobert becoming a starting-caliber center.

Not nearly as good of a shooter, better off the dribble, better creator, more athletic IMO, slightly better defender, better attitude.

Stauskas is is as good as klay thompson in shooting

1. stauskas shot better overall fg%
2. played in a tougher defensive conference.
3. 1st 2 years shot similar 3pt fg%.
4. stauskas made more difficult shots this year than klay thompson in his entire 3 year.

i expect stauskas to shoot 42%+ 3fg% in the nba.

put stauskas in warriors system, he would thrive. he will produce just like klay thompson.

I'd wait to see how everyone does next season, then trade the weakest link at the trade deadline. But I agree Kanter would be the most likely to be moved.

I don't know about that, Embiid is more like Favors than Kanter. I believe Embiid will eventually be better than Favors. Kanter then can play PF his best position and Embiid can play center. Right now Kanter and Favors are really both PFs. I think it has a lot to do with who the coach is and what system you are going to run. Personally I think this makes Rudy the fourth wheel and expendable.

I would trade Kanter or Favors for another pick in this draft. I think Rudy needs to play some minutes to see if he can be the player some think he can. I would trade Favors or Kanter to get Embiid, then use our pick to take Wiggins or Parker or Exum whoever is still available.

Kanter's defense has really disappointed me thus far. To be an effective starter on a contender, I think he really needs to either:

1) Improve his defense to at least an average level; or

2) Become a lights out shooter from deep (ala Dirk).

(or both if it's at all possible)

If I were DL, I would tell him to pick his poison during the offseason and come back a changed man.

I think Embiid will definitely be better than Favors, and Kanter may be a more natural fit next to Embiid, but I think the organization is more committed to Favors.

But like Bodhi said, trading one isn't necessarily a must.
