All You Negative Nancies Ready To Admit You Over Reacted??

See my threads. I knew this would be a good year.

I was with you all year man. Kept tellign people to calm it down a little and to let the year play out. Right now things are looking good.

Admittedly I broke down one time and got worried the Jazz were trending the wrong direction.

I unfortunately agreed with Negative Nancy Ugli at one point in his personal forum.

It's OK. We all stumble from time to time. But thru calmness and optimism we can be forgiven.

I am more pessimistic. I feel like this was a perfect year for the young core to jell without worrying about the W/L column. Additionally, it was a year to find an identity both on offense and defense. Corbin had a chance to shine and showed his true colors. We have an inconsistent offense, a coach that isn't putting a fire under his players, and simply hope the draft pick we get will pan out. But don't expect a turn around next year without a major shift in team philosophy. No one in the draft seems to be the type of player that will have an substantial, immediate impact.

Additionally, even though Gordan had a bad year, I expect him to get a large offer from another team. Teams realize he was in a position where he couldn't do well. I really hope we match any offers and keep him. I also hope we have a coach that will run a jazz-style offense. I am tired of watching mediocre basketball. The reason I loved watching the 2004-5 season was because even though the players were less talented as a team than pretty much any Jazz team since, they played as a team and ran an offense, and played good help defense. It distinguished the Jazz from many other teams. Now we are just one of many teams playing inconsistent individual basketball. I have not enjoyed the past two seasons.

LOL @ Stoked pretending like he's the King of positivity all the sudden.

ALL year I've been confident this team would get it together, win some games, and get pretty hot down the stretch leaving us with about 30 wins.

Good ol' Stoked was consistently saying, "nah, I still think we will lose a ton of games and be one of the 5 worst teams in the league this year. Just wait, we'll start losing bro. Trust me."

I'll admit, Stoked was right, but I'd rather hope for sunshine and be disappointed with rain than to expect rain every day of the week.

Now Stoked doing his best spin job even though he predicted losses all season.

Could the year have been even better? Sure it could have. Jazz could have the worst record and the Core could hav eplayed 30 minutes together every game.

But the Jazz are sitting in a fairly good position. We saw the players develop and what looks like the exit of Corbin. Now we are going into our second offseason under Dennis Lindsey's leadership. We were all blown away with what he did last year. Let's see what he does this year with 2 picks, a coach vacancy and room to sign some free agents.

Jazz are not in perfect position but they are in a damn good one. WHy be negative that it wne tgood but not perfect?

Ain't nobody got time for that.

Lol, I was positive all season. You rode me hard about not freaking out like you were. I over predicted on wins but I didn't ride the emotional roller coaster you built.

So who really had the good attitude here. I think you know the answer.

Don't get me wrong, I am cautiously optimistic, but the team has not had direction for a while. If we actually get a real coach in here maybe I will change my tune. If we don't, I don't see the status quo changing. It isn't about focusing on negativity, it is accepting reality. And for me, it isn't even about wins and losses. It is about playing good team basketball. I'd love to make the playoffs, but what is the point if you are to the point when you can hardly stand to watch the games? I just feel like we are doing things backwards. To me you get a good coaching staff and philosophy in place first, and let the pieces fall into place. You can draft to fit your playing style, and take a few years to get everyone on board with the team concept. I think it was obvious to everyone that losing Horny while keeping Corbin as coach was a mistake. I don't think any of us realized how good Horny would do with the Suns, but we have SO MUCH more talent then they do (outside of Dragic and Bledsoe, I feel like our entire roster is better). And this is Horny's first year!

I still think its disappointing if we don't end up with a top 3 pick, not trading Marvin may be the difference between Randle and Parker.

The Jazz can now finish up to tied for 3rd or as low as tied for 4th going into the lottery.

Favors is resigned.

Favors has shown improvement on O.

Burke looks to be panning out into a solid starting PG.

Kanter looks to be consistent on rebounding and O now. His D has improved lately as well.

Burks is a highlight real and looks to be the 6th man on this team.

2 1st rounders coming up in this draft.

Money on the books to be spent.

And it appears to have been decided that Corbin is gone. Lots of hints he will be gone.

I also got to the end of the road much calmer then you. Hate away criers.

yeah.. yeah.. nobody died

Im with stoked.
This season went damn near perfect.

I hated the season from a watching the games perspective and rooting for losses but in the end it could not have went much better.

If the jazz would have won more then our draft pick would have been worse and corbin maybe gets re-signed.

Now corbin is gone and we have a decent shot at adding a real difference maker to our roster through the draft along with new coach and maybe some quality free agents

I think we have a legit chance at the 8-10 seed next year which aint too shabby for such a young and talented team.

I was pissed that corbins dumbass started marv and jeffy ahead of burks and kanter but his stupidity may have been a blessing in disguise.

Since burks and kanter didnt get hayward and favors type of minutes and roles, maybe the jazz can extend for less this summer than they would have if burks and kanter averaged 35 minutes per game as starters.

The future is very bright in my opinion
