Zero chance Boylen is hired. No "new" GM, making his first hire, is going to risk his future on a wildly unpopular coach. Lindsey can easily survive a failed Name Coach, can most likely survive a Messina, but a Boylen failure could be catastrophic to his reputation.

My vote is still for Karl.

I think Ettore Messina is the guy. But I wouldn't be surprised if Utah went and hired someone like Quin Snyder.
 
I can't think of a worse hire than Jim Boylen. The dude killed the Utah program and he would not be given a benefit of the doubt. Players had to calm him down during time outs. He makes SVG look like a calm coach. DL must feel he is unfireable to even consider Boylen.

Agreed.

Which is why I believe this is merely red meat to keep the radio busy while he makes a play on the real target.

Boylen would be better off as a football coach. I get there are intense coaches, but even the most intense are able to control it so they're not constantly lashing out. I mean, Jerry Sloan was intense - the guy had a death stare that would make your gonads shrivel up and die, but he knew how to control it. As angry as Sloan got, on the whole, he coached rather levelheaded.

Boylen is not levelheaded. Boylen is turned up to an 11 all the time and it was embarrassing, as a Utes fan, watching his antics. He wasn't Rick Majerus intense or Jerry Sloan intense. He was childish intense.

I think the millers wanted to keep Tyrone, and are mad at the fans for pushing their hand. They leaked Boylen's name to punish us.

The good news is that anyone will sound better than boylen when they finally announce him (or her).
 
I am going to give the new coach a chance just as I did Tyrone. I will say that I don't care for Boylen as a candidate for the job. I will still give him a chance if he is hired.

It would be so cool if the Jazz hired a female head coach. There would be so much on the line, so many careers put in danger. It would be like living a dramatic sports movie. I would hope the right group of players would rally around her.
