I'll take that bet.
I bet Philly says 'Yes' to that deal, and takes Vonleh/Randle with the #5 pick.
Okay. It'll be close, but I'll honor the bet. Philly would probably send back another pick or two in this draft, as they have a ton of picks.
I'll take that bet.
I bet Philly says 'Yes' to that deal, and takes Vonleh/Randle with the #5 pick.
FYI, Kevin Love isn't worth a #1 pick in this draft (or most drafts).
I'll bet:
1) Aaron Gordon won't go top 6.
2) Randle will get drafted before Gordon.
3) Vonleh will go top 5. He's the LMA of this draft.
4) Jazz will offer Philly #5, #23 and Philly's choice of Burke, Burks or GSW '17 1st to move up to #3. Philly will say no.
5) Jazz will draft Vonleh or Exum at #5.
6) Word will come out sooner or later that the Jazz didn't feel Smart was a "real point guard."
Jazz get Jabari while keeping the core players.
I'll be happy to rep you if Gordon goes after 6, that's a pretty safe bet tbh. I think he'll go 5 or 6 though, so why not?
Or.. .
- Jazz offered Magic #5, #23 and GSW '17 for #4...
I'll take this bet. If the Magic want Smart instead of Exum, they don't have any leverage to ask the Jazz for much if anything. The Magic would take Smart at 4 and Exum would drop to 5. The only reason to do the trade from ORL's perspective is so they can get Smart at a slightly lower rookie salary scale. In that case, Utah is doing ORL a small favor.
Edit: Nevermind. I read this wrong. You have the Jazz offering that to move up to 4, not the Magic asking for the swap. Jazz might do that depending on how the draft shakes out. It's iffy though. I'll rep you if it happens.
Jabari goes #1
Wiggins # 2
Embiid #3
No trades in the top3 are made. (Sadly)(I want to believe we will trade up, but I doubt it)
Jazz get Jabari while keeping the core players.
