Would you trade #5 + Favors for the #1 pick?

Would you trade Favor + #5 for the #1 pick?

I would do the trade. I like the idea of a Favors/Vonleh 2-headed monster, but I believe in Kanter and Gobert as well. I'd take Embiid at #1.

I'm still too leery of the back to pick Embiid. Messed up backs are not good at all... that's what took Bird out of the game before his time, I would hate to have some dude start his career with a messed up back.

Has he cleared medical on the back? What exactly is/was wrong with it?

I think I would do the trade, but wonder if paying less for 2 or 3 would be better for us. Is there a clear #1 superstar, and if so who is it?

A healthy Embiid is the clear #1. Outside of him there is no "can't miss" or clear #1. I'd be wary of trading any good player + 5 for anybody besides a healthy Embiid.

I would do favors plus 5 for any one of wiggins, parker, or embiid

Cleveland desperately needs a center. They have Hawes, who is a FA and the oft-injured and aging Varejao. Zeller too, but he's not starter-quality.
Yes, Favors + the #5 is a fair trade for the #1.

And the ONLY player to select if that trade is made is Embiid. It's done with the belief you've acquired a franchise player. Then package the #23 and #35 to trade up for a SF or combo forward.

Yes. Love Favors, but he is heading into 5th year with little offense still. Is undersized for a C, and under-offensed for a PF. If he is a C, Gobert has the potential to hold that down for us in a very big way.

Most importantly though, we need a star. I believe in Wiggins and Embiid. I think Parker will be a star as well, just not a two-way player.

This is all true..... which is why they will not make the trade with us

Some ESPN dude in some other thread in chat thought something like Kanter + Hayward for #1 would work but would have to happen after the draft and have Haywards buy in.

So, what combination of players with no picks added could we offer so we can get 2 top 5 picks?
Also would our draft change depending on who we traded to get the #1.

I like the idea of Hayward and Kanter over any of the other players depending on who we can draft.

Too many what if scenarios here to even try to solve the riddle. My combo's of who I would be willing to part with, who Cleveland would want, and who we could draft at 1 and 5 almost makes my head explode.

Love Favors but as has been my stance, no one is safe if it makes the team better. This would make the team better. From what I have seen and read I think Embiid, Wiggins and Parker will all be better than Favors (or any other current jazz player).

Do the deal.

Hard to argue with this.

If it took 3 players I be most open to Hayward, Kanter and Burke but the Cavs do not need a PG... But at what point is to much to much?
