Jazz have "zeroed in" on Jabari Parker

Not saying we can definitely swing it, but where there's smoke there's fire. I'm sure our interest in Jabari is sincere. And we don have the assets to get him. Even if it means overpaying a little (which it probably will).

This could be a really exciting week.

Although, if we do trade up - I don't think that just the '17 1st round pick would do it. I don't think the package will include Favors or Hayward (can GH be traded right now?). But I do think it would have to include some combination (at least 3 of 4) of #5, GS in 2017, our 2015 unprotected, and/or Burks.

I hope this isn't true simply because I hope the Jazz aren't that bad with their info and desires. It's no good to smell desperate.

Furthermore, I think he's definitely below Wiggins and Embiid as a prospect. So, "zeroing in" on him seems a little... I don't know. I don't like the idea that the Jazz do that with prospects that don't project to be even a mediocre defender in the NBA and struggled against length (which isn't to say he can't improve, of course).

I agree with you here. I would do it for either Embiid or Wiggins but not Parker. The first trade which included players was horrible.

According to Chris Sheridan, his draft expert on his site Joe Kotoch said the basis for trading up would be #5 and GS 17' 1st-round pick for #2. He added the Jazz don't wanna give up a young player (Favors, Kanter, Burke, Burks) to move up which is contradicting to other reports. He said the Bucks want future picks if they are going to trade down.

Not in the Jazz's best interest to have player's names float around in trade rumors.

Wait, aren;t you the one screaming for a #1 option?

This is the only player in the draft who can be that realistically.

I am already overloaded with draft rumors. I just read an article about Randle's workout in LA. Laker front office were cooing all over Randle or at least that is what the reporter was writing. I know GMs lie a lot around draft time but the media certainly follows suit. I won't believe anything until I here the Jazz call out a players name and then the draft is finished.

At this point I really don't know who the Jazz are going to pick. I think it has a better chance of being from the Gordon, Vonleh, Exum, Smart or Randle group (tier2). I think the Jazz are going to get a really good player regardless and I wouldn't be surprise if one or two of the second tier guys have just as good or better careers as the top 3.
