Jazz have "zeroed in" on Jabari Parker

I love the idea of getting Parker, BUT if we really could get at Exum at 5 and not give anything up, that is tempting. Not a fan of any of the other possibles at 5 though....I think Exum could be the best player in this draft when all is said and done...
I agree with Scorpjazz.

Listening to the Locke/Chad Ford podcast. They are saying Jabari is Glenn Robinson.

Anyone else remember when the Bucks had GR, Alien, and Ray Allen?

Offensively, that team was fun to watch. They couldn't do anything else doe...

I agree on the Pierce comparison. And I think Paul Pierce is an underrated player (especially the Paul Pierce of a few years ago and prior).

He's not Lebron. This is true.

However I think he's better than Melo, and could be as good as Pierce.

He's a future multiple time allstar, and someone to build around. This is what we are arguing. Just how good he'll be.

in my world, pierce isn't better than melo, but that's a gen NBA discussion...

if parker is better than melo, then there's no way the jazz can give up too much for such a player.

what's the deal anyways? Burks, 5 and Gsw '17? def not too much imo and another team will probably up the ante.

I'm not sure that Jabari is better than Melo - Melo as a frosh at Syracuse was spectacular. But even if he's on par with Melo, that says a lot.

He is a smarter Melo with less athleticism.

His lateral athleticism is a very big issues though. He needs to keep his weight around 220-225. Drop that chubby weight he gained.
Needs to be quicker to play the 3 position.
I am still worried about him being able to get by his player in the NBA. Didn't seem like it was easy in college to get by his man.
And being a 4 won't work for very long. Too much of a tweener unless he can get his weight down.

Melo a beast. Jabari won't be better than melo. Y'all are trippin

Would def trade up for him though

What has he shown that makes him smarter than Melo?

If you hate Melo, you can't like Jabari, unless you admit that not liking Melo is solely based on his off-court personality.

From all the reports it sounds like:

Milwaukee wants Exum so they can move Knight to SG
Philly wants Wiggins to pair with Noel and MCW
Orlando wants Smart to pair with Oladipo in the backcourt
Utah wants Jabari to team up with a talented young core (and of course the fanfare of bringing a Mormon player to Utah).

Assuming this is all accurate, why not have a four team trade to ensure every team gets who they want.

Jazz trade: #5, #23, #35 for #3(Parker) and Mayo or Ilyasova.

Orlando Trades # 4 for #5 (Smart), #35, and #48. They get their guy plus a couple 2nd rounders to fill out their bench or stash in Europe for a year or two.

Philly trades #3 and #32 for #2 (Wiggins). They get the player they have wanted and only have to give up the #32 to ensure they get him. Since they still would have 4 2nd rounders, giving up #32 shouldn't be a big deal.

Milwaukee trades #2, #48 and Mayo or Ilyasova for #4 (Exum), #23, and #32. They get the player they want, get rid of a bad contract, and get another 1st and early 2nd. If they are even considering Exum at 2, this is great value for them.
