Jazz have "zeroed in" on Jabari Parker

Philly trades #3 and #32 for #2 (Wiggins). They get the player they have wanted and only have to give up the #32 to ensure they get him. Since they still would have 4 2nd rounders, giving up #32 shouldn't be a big deal.

Milwaukee trades #2, #48 and Mayo or Ilyasova for #4 (Exum), #23, and #32. They get the player they want, get rid of a bad contract, and get another 1st and early 2nd. If they are even considering Exum at 2, this is great value for them.

This is great.. Until Cleveland takes Wiggins or Parker at #1.

I saw a lot of melo in college. he was good, but i like jabari's freshman game even more.

its not a case of jabari is good and melo is bad. i think its very slight, but i believe he is the better player, better motor, and will have the better career

Been saying this. Been negged for it. He is our best player/prospect combo, is inked to a great deal, and offers MIL the rim protection they thought they had w/ Sanders.
 
I think Jabari COULD be better than Melo, and Pierce. But right now, he is still Jabari. Keep reason when talking about trades for him, or you might just sell your future.

Too much to give up. Parker, Wiggins and Embiid have done ZERO in the NBA. You trade picks and a very good player for established all-stars. I still maintain there just isn't that much difference between the top-3 and the next 3. This draft could very well turn out like 2010 at the top. Everyone was set on the top 5 of Wall, Turner, Favors, Johnson and Cousins. I remember KOC said he tried to trade up but the asking price was way too high to jump from 9 into the top-5 because those players were viewed as "can't-miss." Two have lived up to the hype; jury is still out on Favors. But Turner and Johnson have been HUGE disappointments.

I tend to agree.

But, I am willing to trade, 5, and any player on our roster for Parker or Wiggins.

Think the package floating around earlier of 5, Burks (or other player), GSW 17, 23, and 35 was WAY too much.

We aren't winning a championship or becoming elite any other way.

Go for the star or be content with being average.

Sanders was the best rim protector in the league his 3rd season and was a better defender than Favors. If you can iron him out mentally, is he not good enough to justify the trade?

Exum, Vonleh, and Gordon all have star potential. All have better defensive potential, and athleticism.

Wake the **** up. We aren't drafting 8. We are at 5. Parker doesn't = automatic chip. You can't overspend for an unproven commodity.

We need a star. What if Parker busts? What if Burks becomes.a star? What if that GSW pick becomes a star? What if that player at 5 becomes a star? Etc.
