Embiid has a new foot injury

Embiid Oden's stock is about to sink faster than the Titanic. Hell, I wouldn't even touch him at 5

He's worth the gamble with the 1st overall pick. He's a steal at 5th.

I don't think so Tim.

Has a history of back problems and now has a broken foot.

In fact, we must have different definitions for a "steal."

A steal isn't drafting an injured raw big with a long history of back and foot problems who will most likely fail and set your franchise back for years. That's not a steal in my book.

I've been solidly in the "gotta get Wiggins, Parker or Gordon" camp for a long time now. With that said, if he falls to 5 you take him and then work him into your lineup slowly. There's no rush to get him on the court. Don't think he falls past Philly, but it makes for an interesting scenario. Can't believe Noel fell past 5. It would be shocking if Embiid did.

If he's there at five take him and make a mafia offer to the Phx Suns medical staff. Their only task is to fix Embiid.

In other news... just when I think I've poured over every draft scenario something like this happens.

I'm terrified too, but you still gamble on it.

If it is real, and bad, I see it going:

Wiggins
Parker
Exum
Vonleh

Which leaves Embiid, Gordon, Smart, and Randle to be choosing from. The obvious choice is Embiid. It just has to be.

So would the Cavs take an offer of Favors and #5 for #1 now? We take Wiggins. I saw a tweet that now they want Exum in for a workout... That seems like a wierd fit with Kyrie. If they take Exum #1 can we just give them the first pick every year and watch them mess it up? Its kind of fun.

Agree with everyone saying you risk it at #5. I still think is basement is #3.

I believe this is accurate as well. In the unlikely scenario he does get past the sixers I don't see Orlando passing.

I'm in agreement. Unfortunately, this probably does push Embiid down to #5 and means both Exum AND Vonleh will go top-4.

Good.

That way we won't be tempted to draft a soft 7 foot SG or an international player who had his *** handed to him by a guy who couldn't ever get off the bench in Atlanta.

Thank heaven that Embiid's injury might have saved us from ourselves.
