Anything above 11 per and I wave bye bye. He is NOT better than all the other guys who got that amount or less. Give me Parsons over Hayward at that amount.

But that was before this last season. Hayward showed that he is a complimentary piece and I think he will get paid as one. But then again, teams could definitely offer him a 2-3 extra million a year to snag him from us while he still is young and can improve.

I feel like a lot of people have tried to make this suspenseful, but it isn't. Whether right or wrong, Jazz are very high on him and are going to match just about any offer he gets.

Agree. We're WAY under the salary cap. Hayward can get a big raise and the Jazz would STILL have a MAX contract slot available. Money really isn't an issue for another 4-5 years. Even then, Trey (or Alec) might be disposable/tradeable but we'll need to re-sign Gobert. Hayward will be back. Jazz likely present him with their final offer he refused last summer. It's a good faith gesture since he had such a horrible season. Hayward will shop around for a bit. Really, though, nothing much happens in free agency until Decision 2.0 and 3.0 (Lebron and Carmelo decide what to do). Then the "losers" may scramble to put together offers for Love.

I am torn on this. Hayward was a jacker last year. From my memory his shooting percentages off the dribble were horrible. And is spot up might of been barely better. Does anyone have those stats? or where to find them?
Iggy is a great defender and athletic. He got 48 million over 4 years.
That is 12 Million per year that he got last summer.
Here is Iggy's career stats the year before contract and his career(if different)
13 points per game (14.6 for career)
45% from the field (46% for career)
31% from the 3 (33% for career)
57% from stripe (72% for career)
1.7 Steals (same)
G-Time's last year stats
16 points per game (12 for career)
41.3% from the field (43% for career)
30% from the 3 (36% for career)
81% from the stripe (Same)
5 Rebounds (3 for career - Less minutes)
5 Assists (3 but less minutes)
1.4 steals per game (.9 for career)
Iggy is a better man to man defender for sure. outside shot is about the same. Free throws Hayward is WAY better. Probably the same in scoring. Iggy is more conservative in terms of shot selection though. Hayward is more of a jacker. Iggy is more athletic. Hayward is a better at transition defense (those recovery blocks)
People make fun oft the comparison because Iggy is way more athletic and black. but keeping your racist viewpoints and how high someone can jump out of this. Their roles on a team are very similar. And their stats. And I think Hayward will receive a 12 million a year contract offer.
The bigger question though. Can the Jazz offer an extra year longer then lets say the Celtics or Suns?
Maybe we can offer 10-11 million a year at 5 years. Rather then him signing an offer sheet of 12 million for 4 years like Iggy. Or would it be better to have that cap space in the 5th year.

You match the offer. I doubt he'll get above 12 per. You've invested so much in the guy, it would be shame to lose all that work for a contract that isn;t even a max. Those who think Hood can replace Hayward don't know what they're talking about. He hasn't even played an NBA game yet. Good lord.
tbh, i wanna see all our guys in the motion offense before I make any judgements. Corbin's system was terrible. Let's judge these guys when they're playing bb that actually makes sense.
