Nonguaranteed Guys

Other than Thomas last night I think the guys on the roster with non-guaranteed contracts looked pretty iffy. I'm hoping the Jazz are scouting other teams with the prospects of bringing some players to camp to compete for jobs. I noticed last night that training camp invitee Justin Holiday had 29 for Golden State.

Frankly speaking Thomas didn't impress me...he made only easy baskets. Clark didn't show improvements.
I believe there are better players in D-League.

Yeah, they struggled. But I think you make your final roster evaluation on how they fit your team and what you see in practice. If you still wonder about their ability to compete at the NBA level, kick them up to Idaho for the season and let them hit the floor.

I am surprised that Clark and Murphy looked so bad. I like Thomas and hope he sticks. At this point though, I'd be bringing in Tomic and Neto. Let them fill a couple of backup spots and then work them into the rotation.

There is a team of DLeague players playing. A guy that was with the Lakers had a solid game Devin Ebanks. Even Michael Stockton had a couple of decent games in Orlando for OKC.

Liked a lot of thing about Holliday last pre-season. Good length, good NBA body, great shooting form. He just didn't hit his shots. Wouldn't be surprised if he makes a team this year.

Murphy was a major disappointment last night.

Clark was too but I've never been a fan.

I watched that 29 point game by Holliday it was damn impressive, he was making everything in the 4th quarter.

I'm high on Neto! He has remarkable ball-handling skills!

Tomic is way too underrated in this forum....Gobert is still too raw to play consistent minutes....we need Tomic into the rotation!

If the Jazz aren't going to sign a better version of Malcolm Thomas, hes the one player id sign.

I'd go with Devin Ebanks over Thomas though, watching him now, he looks legit (3pt shot looks much improved)

Ebanks was known for his defense coming out of WV, right? And plays the 3, correct? I'd be down with that. A cheaper version of Aminu with perhaps a better perimeter game.
